A 2015 honors graduate of the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam, Katherine Federiconi has played the harp since she was eight years old. During her time at Crane, Kate played with various ensembles, including the Crane Symphony Orchestra and the Crane Wind ensemble. She was also an active member of the Crane Harp Ensemble, which not only performed at the school, but also went on tours to Rochester, Albany and New York City. Since she has returned to the Capitol Region, Kate has played with the Skidmore Orchestra and the Saratoga Youth Symphony.
Kate is an experienced harp teacher. For her four years at Crane, she taught weekly private and group harp lessons to students of varying levels, ranging in age from eight to sixteen. As part of the teaching, Kate prepared her students for NYSMMA in both solo and harp ensemble.
