Saxophone, Jazz Studies
Chris was raised in Spencerport, NY, a suburb of Rochester. He studied saxophone with John Viavattine, Mark Hull, and Mike Edwards. Rochester presented many opportunities to learn at an early age from faculty at Eastman and musicians such as John Fedchock, Mark Vinci, John Faddis, and Ada Rivotti. In high school, Chris had the incredible opportunity to play in the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Conference All-State Ensemble conducted by Robert W. Smith, which was a very valuable learning experience.
Chris is currently enrolled at the College of St. Rose, a semester away from achieving his Music Education Bachelor’s degree. Chris performs in the St. Rose wind ensemble, jazz ensemble, and sax quartet.
